I haven't blogged in days because I couldn't remember my username and password! Ahhh! I finally broke the code! But now i'm too sleepy to write anymore ;).....so tomorrow....new blog!

The Best One I've Ever Seen.....

A moment like this, some people wait forever......wrong idol ;) But really, I was meant to be behind this van at a stop light! By the time I noticed it and grabbed my camera, the light had turned green! I nearly wrecked trying to get this shot .....but success! I love it all....if you find this ever....buy it for me and I'll pay you back ;) I love that its a van a) and b) that its a commercial vehicle and c) its an old man driving ;)

We was robbed!

This past week Ryan left the house to go to work only to find out we was robbed!!!! The FJ Cruiser has been tainted :(

They snatched his prize possession - Sirius Satellite Radio- and his The Nerds Cd (the best wedding cover band on the jersey shore, check it out).

Other items that were not prized, our Vtech cordless phone. Why you may ask? I walked out of the house one day talking on it like it was my cell!!! So...I just stuck it in the glove compartment. But they took it like they're really going to get use out of that!!!

Sirius is the best! They sent Ryan a replacement and transferred his subscription to that. So you knuckleheads out there, good luck getting a subscription on that radio because its reported stolen!

I love how I value my blog so much that I think even the theives will be reading it ;)!!!!!!

....a three hour tour

So what's going on today? Work. Some days I love work and some days I dread work. But today I love work! So let's take a lil looksy into my work place.


Here is my Speech sign that is the essence of me and what I do! I love it! That lil booth at Affair of the Heart would get tons of business from me, but alas, labeling every room in your house with glitter signs would be a lil tacky ;) ......(and yes, my Hello Kitty december calendar is still up!)




And....ahh, here we have the treasure chest! The key to getting children to behave and do whatever you tell them to do ;)






Again, the essence of me.....drinks, snacks, lunch, or my neighbor's drinks, snacks, or lunch. Forget the teachers' lounge, welcome to The Oral Motor Lounge.....lol. No really, I just like eating in my room and not the teachers' lounge ;) ha ha.




I'm seeing a pattern here with poor calendar skills ;) All my kids are like "Is Valentine's Day in January?" Yes, I am confusing them because I can't find my January numbers!!






And here.....on our tour are my credentials. Oh yes, they are guarded by my Christmas gift from my friend next door. She came to the conclusion that I Am The Dark Side.........his hands glow in the dark!

And last but not least on this tour of the office.........is ME! Yes, if you are a taxpayer, your money is going to my salary which allows me to buy my wonderful makeup and the time for me to put it on when I arrive to work. Hey, otherwise you'd still be paying for me to put it on at home! But I made it to work today on time, minus the makeup ;) You have to make sacrifices!

Dilemma

So I have 37% battery left and counting......my cord could be of two places: 1. still at the office or 2. in my car because my zipper pocket was unzipped, could have fell out. I knew what I was going to write about, but it wouldn't have the same effect without the photo I want to use.......however, I would have to get up and go in the office and scan it in. Am i lazy? Hell no! I just got back from the gym betches! However.........my Gracie baby is sleeping SO freaking adorably cute right next to me and my laptop in the living room and if I get up she will follow, and there's a lil part of me that just can't do that to her....she just got back from a car ride which means for her, if she could talk, that right now she would say "May I please have a Xanax before any other car ride?" She gets sooo nervous, but we insist she go, because we are people on the go and she needs to get used to it. Which, btw, it is SOOOO much better than when we first got her....thus said, the throwing up has ceased. So that blog will just have to wait ;) Now I'm off to do 32% battery juice worth of surfin ;)

Word to your mother.....

On my way home I was listening to one of my favorite channels on Sirius Satellite Radio.......the 90s station! Champagne Supernova started playing and I cranked it up, it took me back to my freshman year ;) Doing nothing but homework in my room, but still...... I heart that song! That whole album. So I realized! I LOVE THE 90s. I am a child of the 90s. True I was born in 82, so you might think im a child of the 80s but no, I was only 8 when they ended and I was by no means cool then, so I didn't know squat about pop culture in the 80s, but oh girl, the 90s.......I was the bomb.com from age 9-17!!!.........I love it all........the grunge, the pump reebok, 90210, the scandals, specifically but not in any order: tonya harding, OJ, bobbitt, amy fisher, bill clinton, SNL, cell phones, super nintendo, hip hop, pop, rock, all of it, Seinfeld, Napster, movies - reality bites, titanic, dumb and dumber, pretty woman etc etc.....and oh the fashion....although the "rachel" haircut dominated and of course, I was clueless and screwed when it came to any straight hair-do, but from the neck down I rocked the 90s and loved every minute of it!!! So here's to the 1990s, the best and only decade I have seen thus far the whole way thru!! Leave me your favorite thing or things about the 90s!!!! I love quotes too.....especially from Reality Bites--------There's no secret handshake. There's an IQ prerequisite, but there's no secret handshake.

My day

Well, I stayed home today. And it wasn't one of

those good stay at home days either!! Well, I did

watch three episodes of Picket Fences that I just

bought on dvd, and Steel Magnolias.......but I felt

icky through each wonderful quote! There is a line from Steel Magnolias for every single moment, situation, problem, or event in life!!

So, instead of watching all my favs with a glass of wine.........I had this.....an Orange Zest Alka Seltzer Plus cocktail ;) Drink the juice, Shelby, drink the juice......okay, that was a far stretch but that scene is on right now. ;)

I usually would love a Monday off, seriously......but I was so ready to go to work this week. I have a new schedule...(I'm a Speech Pathologist btw at a school)....because I have a caseload of like 134!!! jk...but it felt like it, so I had to re-do my schedule and I love it, so I was ready and willing to go! But nature would have it differently ;)

So....Im here in my new 400 count sheets that I love, surrounded by kleenex (clean and dirty, eew), two remotes, two phones, a dog bone, and no dog. Gracie has decided she does not want to get sick as well, so all day she has been sunbathing on the bed in the other room. She really does sunbathe. The blinds are up, the bed is right next to the window and she lays there just looking out the window. A few minutes ago I had to pause during paragraph 3 because she was barking like a masked robber was walking up to our door! She never does that! Seriously.....I always thought what a horrible watch dog she was! She loves people and when a stranger comes up she immediately gets into her "pet me" mode. But not today....she knows I'm sick and was taking care of me ;) or so I'd like to think. I went and looked out, I saw nothing. Im sure another dog was getting petted across the street and that was her jealous fit bark. That I could believe more.

Well, I'm rambling now and I wasn't really sure what I was going to put in my first blog....I picked a good day to work on it, but a boring day to write about. I just wanted to try it out and I did!

Nothing like sitting down and blogging over a nice glass of alka seltzer..........ahhhhhhh
